Colour Sorting Pompoms

Children learn by doing practical activities. By completing this activity your child is sorting colours which is a classification activity later used in language and math exercises.

Present a small tray with three dishes, featuring pompoms of two different colours in the middle dish, and a set of tongs. Use the tongs to sort and transfer the 2 colours of pompoms into their own dish (e.g blue in one dish, and yellow in the other dish).

Remember to demonstrate the activity yourself, and then ask your child to complete it.
